Tahoe Oral Surgery
Your Trusted Oral Surgery Clinic

Are there surgical instructions I can review?

Yes, we provide a comprehensive package with in-depth instructions before and after your surgery. We tailor these guidelines to the specific procedure you're undergoing to ensure optimal recovery. You can often apply a cold compress to reduce swelling after oral surgery. However, if bleeding, swelling, fever, or severe pain persists, be sure to get in touch with us immediately.

Here is a snapshot of some of the instructions we provide at Tahoe Oral Surgery:

Before Anesthesia

Before undergoing anesthesia, patients must abstain from eating, wear comfortable clothing, and make transportation arrangements.

After Dental Implant Surgery

After dental implant surgery, we recommend limiting physical activities until fully healed and practicing good oral hygiene to prevent infection.

After a Tooth Extraction

After a tooth extraction, we recommend eating a soft diet, avoiding smoking or using a straw, and keeping the extraction site clean to prevent infection and dry socket.

Aftercare for Exposure of an Impacted Tooth

Aftercare for exposure of an impacted tooth helps patients address pain management, control swelling, and practice good oral hygiene.

Please don't hesitate to call Tahoe Oral Surgery for detailed instructions before, during, or after your procedure. We are here to help you!
